“We believe that next year the economic activity will bounce back”
Jorge Brito, president of Banco Macro, was interviewed by Revista Económica and spoke about what the year 2016 left and the expectations for the upcoming year.
“The year 2016 is delivering results that can be described as quite satisfactory, taking into account the recessionary context that had defined the economy” stated Jorge Brito.
With regards to Banco Macro, Jorge Brito assured that “The Bank is very strong in terms of assets, with good liquidity and solvency ratios. This year, we carried on with our process of growth, focusing on the provinces and incorporating technologies to make people’s lives easier”.
In terms of the expectations for the year 2017, Jorge Brito stated that “We believe that next year the economic activity will bounce back, as long as inflation decreases and as long as the conditions for investment growth are met”. “The banks will be an important part of that growth process and we will make every effort to boost it, since our future is inextricably tied to the future of the country”, continued the holder of Banco Macro, Jorge Brito.
He concluded by saying that “As Banco Macro we will continue working hard on the area of SMEs, small business and agribusiness”.
